The story

Madrid, the roaring twenties. Behind an unmarked door, a private party is in full swing when the host, the tailor Carnegie, is found dead and nobody remembers the night clearly: the drinks were spiked. Inspector Smith takes charge, and every table becomes a team of detectives with its own evidence folder, a phone to solve the clues and a live ranking on the screen. At the end: the police report, the accusation and a photocall.

We run this game in English. Mystery Nights is played in English for private groups and on selected public dates: WhatsApp us before booking and we will tell you which nights are in English.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a Mystery Night?

A live cluedo lasting about an hour and a half: a crime at the Estherwood mansion, five suspects in the case, actors running the night, and clues spread around the room. Each team solves the evidence from a phone, with a live ranking.

Will we play with people we do not know?

In the same party, yes: each session brings together up to 30 people from different bookings. Your group plays together as a team of 2 to 5 and competes against the other tables. If you want the mansion to yourselves, ask us for a proposal.

What do I pay now and what later?

Now, a €10 deposit per player. The balance, €18 per player, is paid on the day on arrival. Total price €28 per person, VAT included.

What if the minimum of 10 players is not reached?

Three days before, we check each session. If it has not reached 10, we cancel it, email you and refund the full deposit automatically. Refunds take 5 to 10 working days to show in your bank.

Can I cancel?

Let us know at least a week in advance and we refund the deposit in full. With less notice the deposit is non-refundable, but write to us: if there is room on another night we will try to move you.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes: over 18s only. ID may be requested at the door.

Where is it?

At the Estherwood mansion, in the Plaza Mayor area of Madrid. It is a clandestine party: the exact address is emailed to you 24 hours before the session. Please arrive 5 minutes early.
